Full Bloom: Late March to Early April

It is a famous lone cherry blossom known for its beautiful round shape. It can be seen with snow-peaked Mt. Yatsugatake in the back, as well as a carpet of narcissus blossom at its feet in the spring. Mt. Fuji is also visible from the hill if the skies are clear.

Full Bloom: Early April

This Edo-Higan-Sakura tree has spent its life observing people for more than 2000 years. The ample amount of time shaped its atmosphere majestic and mystical. It has been designated as the very first National Natural Monument by the government in 1959.

About 30 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees line the nostalgic Japanese school ground along with the sight of surrounding view of nature. Great Southern Japanese Alps (Akaishi Mountain Range) can be viewed behind the cherry blossoms from the school grounds. – 1o minutes on foot
